Construction Holiday Fund (OPOC) is an institution that collects funds for the construction employees through the contributions made by employers.
Each company performing services in the construction industry in Belgium (Belgian and foreign) is required to register in the Construction Holiday Fund (called OPOC or PDOK). Registration involves the obligation to pay contributions. From the accumulated funds, the Fund pays annual benefits to employees. It should be remembered that failure to comply with the abovementioned obligations by the entrepreneur may result in deduction of the relevant amounts by the Belgian investor or contractor for which the foreign company provides construction services.
The entrepreneur may be exempted from the obligation to pay contributions upon fulfillment of certain conditions.
In order to get exemption it is necessary to present relevant documents to the OPOC Fund.
