What is Construction Holiday Fund Soka-Bau ?
Construction Holiday Fund is a cash office responsible for ensuring the terms of remuneration and holidays in the construction industry. The main task of the Fund is to finance employees’ claims for holiday leave. For the construction industry, the Fund is important because it conducts so-called procedure for holiday claims, which applies to German and foreign employers posting employees.
Why do I have to register my company in Fund?
A company carrying out construction works in Germany is required to guarantee its employees with the same working and pay conditions as local employees. German law has created a special Fund for the construction workers’ holiday claims. As a result the foreign employer – similarly to a German employer – is obliged to register at the Construction Fund and pay social contributions to the Fund for the holiday claims of his construction workers.
